Introduction
“WhaleEase” is a project designed to enhance comfort during office hours through an innovative office chair design. For this competition, we visited a furniture company in Foshan, China, where we collaborated with material and structural engineers to assess and optimize the design. The research proposal aims to utilize abstract whale lines not only to enhance the aesthetic attributes of the office chair but also to make the base lighter.
